Unfortunately Pawel had to work the next day. Karolina on the other hand had some free time since she has one month of to prepare her final examinations. In Poland it is quite common for students to work in order to finance their studies, also the regulations for taxes are not as strict as in Belgium or Germany. When we woke up it was raining and it didn’t seemed to be a pretty cloudy day, but we were lucky because only a couple of minutes after we stepped outside sunrays broke through the clouds illuminating the gorgeous city. We went to explore some areas I wasn’t able to visit last time. We went to see the Hala Ludowica (“Der Jahrhundertturm”) as well as a fabulous Japanese garden. We also checked out a new fountain complex next to the Hala Ludowa and our luck didn’t run out yet because at the moment we arrived they just started a special concert during which they operate they fountains in harmony with some well known classical music such as Beethoven. After Pawel returned from work in the afternoon we went to an aquapark about 10 minutes by bus from Wroclaw Glowny (Main railway station). It was truly the most awesome (Zajebiste !) aquapark I’d ever been to.
We ended our day in a special bar on the central market square called Spizj (written with a z and a dot on top of it). The legacy goes that in the past the king of Czech Republic came to Wroclaw to drink the local brewed beer over there, so I just had to go and try it out. During that day I asked Pawel and Karolina to teach me some Polish and in the evening I tried to order a beer with the best Polish possible : “Trzy piwo prosjew” –smth in Polish, obviously meaning how much I have to pay. “Dzien Cuje!”. Probably the most amazing one was the “honeybeer”, which I can absolutely recommended. They king of Czech had a good taste, that’s for sure!
